Venezuela's shop earnings should not be more than 25%

Vice-Minister of Domestic Trade Yajaira Briceño highlighted that the Law on Fair Costs and Prices has been successfully applied in the country, because prices of 19 products have been stable after costs were checked and regulations were applied.

She believes that the cost structure is beginning to be discussed.

"We all have to learn to work with cost structure, because all these processes carry within an expense, a cost or an investment. At the end, prices must be a relationship between costs and utility," stressed Briceño.

She added that the Venezuelan State must go forward in the analysis of corporate profits, because, according to her, a basic product "may not have a very high profit."
