Oil shipments averaged 707,000 bpd, the worst result since February 1992

The evolution of Venezuelan oil shipments to the United States continues to show a downward trend, according to statistics from the US Department of Energy.
Sales of Venezuelan crude oil to the US averaged 707,000 bpd in November 2011, a 20% drop compared to November 2010, when Venezuelan oil sales to the US averaged 884,000 bpd.
There was an 18% decline compared to October 2011, when oil shipments to the United States averaged 862,000 bpd.
This is the lowest figure for US oil imports from Venezuela, with the exception of oil imports reported in December 2002 and January and February 2003, when Venezuelan exports to the US averaged 655.000 bpd.
The US Department of Energy also reported that imports of Venezuelan refined oil products averaged 57,000 bpd in November 2011.
