Following the appointment of Elías Jaua as new Minister of Agriculture and Lands, the appointments of top officials in the ministry were made official in the Official Gazette No 39,852.

Faiez Kassen Castillo was appointed as Vice Minister for Agriculture Economics; Tatiana Pug will be the president of the National Institute for Agriculture Research; Pedro Moreno Montes will be the president of the Institute for Comprehensive Agricultural Health; Javier Ramos will be the acting president of the National Institute for Rural Development and Eduardo Hurtado León will head the Venezuelan Agricultural Bank (Banco Agrícola de Venezuela).
