Opposition queries about Venezuela's entry into Mercosur

The survey involves leaders of business associations, and in general "to all those who would be affected" by Venezuela s accession to the Common Market of the South, which includes Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay, said an opposition deputy

Opposition to President Hugo Chávez holds consultations with several domestic sectors to decide whether the Democratic Unified Panel (MUD) supports or not a possible petition to the Paraguayan Parliament to allow the country's full membership in Mercosur.

"The consultation process is not over. We can not say yet that (once it is finished), we are going to make a joint petition (with the ruling party) and that it will be sent to the Paraguayan Congress," said opposition deputy Delsa Solórzano, as reported by Efe.

The consultation involves leaders of business associations, and - in general - "to all those who would be affected" by Venezuela's accession into the Common Market of the South, which includes Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
