The National Electoral Council (CNE) in a session held on Tuesday agreed to set the elections for Venezuelan president for October 7, 2012, CNE director Vicente Díaz posted on his Twitter account.
Election of state governors will be held in December 2012, whereas the voting for mayors will take place in April 2013.
It was disclosed that the day of local polls was not defined because the CNE should work on the schedule.
