Foreign ministers of Mexico and Venezuela meet in Caracas

The Mexican minister discussed with her Venezuelan counterpart the preparations for the conference

Mexican Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinosa arrived in Venezuela on Wednesday, accompanied by Juan Manuel Gómez Robledo, the Deputy Foreign Secretary of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights. She was welcomed at the Simón Bolívar International Airport by Venezuelan Foreign Vice Minister for Latin America and the Caribbean María Mendoza.

Venezuela's Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro and his Mexican counterpart, Patricia Espinosa held a meeting on Thursday in Caracas to assess the cooperation agenda to be discussed during the UN Climate Change Summit .

Upon her arrival in Casa Amarilla, the seat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Venezuela, Espinosa said that she would discuss with Maduro "the preparations for the conference."

Further, the top Mexican diplomat stressed that the relations between Mexico and Venezuela "show an excellent level of cooperation." She highlighted that both countries are cooperating and holding talks, particularly in areas such as regional integration, state-run news agency Agencia Venezolana de Noticias (AVN) reported.
