According to Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolás Maduro, the Colombian State is liable for the internal war that has faced for six decades and accused it of being a threat against its neighbors.

"The only thing created by the Colombian State is internal war, threat on its neighbors and it forsakes it territory," the senior officer said when entering the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry for a ministerial meeting of Unasur. The organization is dealing with the current diplomatic impasse between Caracas and Bogotá, AFP quoted.

"We have witnessed that Colombia's government continuously lambasts its neighbors," Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicolás Maduro said. Prior to the Unasur ministerial meeting, Maduro talked with his Ecuadorian colleague Ricardo Patiño about the bilateral state of affairs.

Also, in his view, Colombia practices "a warlike doctrine which violates international law."
