The president of Venezuela's private business chamber Fedecámaras, Noel Álvarez, told El Universal that there is a bench warrant against him although so far he has not been formally notified.
Álvarez expressed he is willing to appear in court. "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. I will stay here in my country. I will keep working," he said.
Álvarez said that he was not notified of the decision. "The bench warrant was issued without earlier notice."
Last week, Diosdado Cabello, the director of the National Telecommunications Commission, filed a criminal complaint against the president of Fedecámaras before the Attorney General Office. According to Cabello, Álvarez used a wordplay to promote a coup d'état.
