Venezuelan FM visits Tehran to coordinate visit of Ahmadinejad

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro is expected to arrive in Iran to coordinate the agenda of the upcoming visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Caracas, said David Velásquez, the Venezuelas ambassador to Tehran.

Maduro will land on the Iranian capital city heading a delegation including Minister of Industry, Technology and Science Jesse Chacón and a large group of oil executive officers, the diplomat said in an exclusive interview with the official news agency Irna, Efe reported.

Velásquez also pointed out that Caracas and Tehran have signed 280 memoranda of understanding and that they hope to forge even closer ties in the future.
