Colombia will export to Dominican Republic some 10,000 vehicles that it was scheduled to sell to Venezuela until President Hugo Chávez suspended the negotiation and froze the diplomatic and commercial relations with Bogotá, the financial Colombian newspaper Portafolio reported on Wednesday.

The firms that are involved in the transaction are Colmotores, a subsidiary of General Motors (GM) in Colombia, and five private transport companies in Santo Domingo, which seek to renew their fleet of public vehicles in the Dominican Republic capital, Efe reported.

The Caribbean country would have new taxis, minibuses and buses that will be part of the urban and intercity tourist services and public service (taxis).
