Ricardo Sánchez, a student leader and President of the Federation of Students' Council (FCU) at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), said in Madrid that the student movement is still seeking the visit of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights to Venezuela to monitor the situation of political prisoners.
Sánchez said Tuesday that the group will continue the agenda of international meetings they have planned, but on this opportunity the contact persons will be known after the meetings are held to prevent the government "with its rich checkbook from sabotaging our activities," as it happened in the Parlasur when the opposition councilman Freddy Guevara was about to take the floor.
He said that the student movement will continue fighting for the freedom of all political prisoners and the return of exiles.
