People taking part in the global march "No More Chávez" to be staged in Caracas next Friday, September 4, at noon are to gather in Brión Square in Chacaíto, north Caracas, and the entrance of the Parque Cristal building, in Los Palos Grandes, east Caracas.
Otto Hersen, who is one of the organizers of the activity in Venezuela, said that demonstrators will submit a document in Caracas at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS). The document sheds light on the violation of human rights by the government of President Hugo Chávez, in Venezuela and other countries.
Organizers said that the march convened on the social networks Facebook and Twitter will be held in 144 countries; in Venezuela, there will be rallies in the capital cities of the states of Miranda, Zulia, Táchira, Nueva Esparta, Mérida, Falcón, Aragua, Carabobo, Monagas, Cojedes, Yaracuy, Trujillo and Anzoátegui.
Hersen added that the Minister of the Interior and Justice was already notified of the rally. He stressed that the organizers will inform about the route of the march on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
With this worldwide protest, the organizers expect to exceed the number of demonstrators who took part in a rally against the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC), held on February 4, 2008 by the Colombian foundation One Million Voices.
10:07 AM. DIPLOMACY. Admired by the Colombian guerrilla after his coup attempt in 1992, the then lieutenant colonel Hugo Chávez Frías received financial support by the Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC) for his projects after his capture that year. This mostly explains the relationship and "debt" between the parties, as revealed by a paper of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) of the United Kingdom.
