Politics
Metropolitan Mayor Antonio Ledezma and governors César Pérez Vivas and Pablo Pérez from Táchira and Zulia states, respectively, were received by the Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Santiago Cantón, in order to advance Venezuela-ICHR connection.

According to a press release of the Metropolitan Mayor's Office, different measures that prove the central government's failure to execute constitutional and legal regulations were discussed, as well as the constant harassment against regional governors and mayors democratically elected by Venezuelans and the violation of human rights.

The Venezuelan opposition representatives also talked about the decision to file a formal complaint against the Venezuelan State and request a precautionary measure. Further, they will request a public hearing to present the Venezuelan situation before the IACHR.
