Foreign government officials and observers acknowledged the
virtues of the Venezuelan electoral process and the democratic
participation of its citizens in the regional elections, said
on Sunday Foreign Affairs Minister Nicolás Maduro.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, Maduro, after casting his ballot, said that he has
received calls from representatives of other Latin American
countries and from the rest of the world praising the efforts
and achievements made by Venezuela in Sunday's elections,
state-run news ABN reported.
Maduro said that on November 21, 22 and 23 he held several
meetings with international observers and guests. The minister
added that "they are impressed by the Venezuelan electoral
system."

Two years later, subsequent to the bank interventions that affected 14 private institutions, Public Prosecutor Office maintains investigations open, these concern the public funds that ended up at some of those organisms and were utilized in shady financial operations, this is included among the accusations held by the Public Ministry against some bankers.
