President of Bolivia Evo Morales said that the member states
of the Bolivarian Alternative for the People of Our America
(ALBA) and of Petrocaribe will meet in Caracas next Wednesday
November 26 to discuss mechanisms of economic complementation.
Morales denied that the summit will be related to the financial
crisis, AFP reported.
"On November 26, a group of governments that are united with
the people will gather together not to discuss the financial
crisis but (to discuss) how to enhance and complement our
economies to serve our people."
Morales said that the meeting will take place in the Venezuelan
capital. The meeting was convened by President Hugo Chávez,
to plan "with other anti-imperialist presidents the ways to
better serve the peoples of Latin America and the world."
Morales denied that the ALBA and Petrocaribe Summit will
serve to discuss the global crisis as the meeting between
the developed and emerging countries which took place in Washington
last weekend.
