Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro said on Thursday that
although Venezuela has already expressed its position toward
the new government of the United States, it is difficult to
speculate about the evolution of US diplomatic relations with
the rest of the world.
"You can not speculate only 24 hours after the election results.
Everything has its time and speed. It is not convenient to
speculate. No one is rushed or desperate. We must let matters
take their course," he said.
When asked if the US ambassador would return to the country,
Venezuela's top diplomat replied: "everything has its time".
However, Maduro said that the Venezuelan government will work
"to allow things develop positively. Surely, we will make
the required and appropriate decisions."
