English-language newspaper published in Moscow The Moscow
Times reviewed all the details and speculations about
President Hugo Chávez agenda in the Russian capital.
According to an article published in the newspaper, Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev will maintain his liberal image
by supporting arms deals and private investments in Venezuela,
but he will keep the visit low-key to prevent Chávez
from using the meetings as a platform to attack the United
States.
A limited number of reporters will be accredited to cover
the meeting between Medvedev and Chávez, a Kremlin spokesman
said, citing limited space, The Moscow Times, reported
in a note published by Venezuelan news website Noticias
24.
"The Venezuelan President looks determined to put pen to
paper on a number of major arms deals during his official
visit to Moscow on Tuesday, but is unlikely to gain Kremlin
support for his trademark attacks on the United States," the
Russian newspaper reported.
