Chávez-Uribe summit to be held in north-western Coro

The meeting between Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez and Colombian President Álvaro Uribe has been scheduled for July 11 and will be held in the Venezuelan city of Coro, 200 miles northwest Caracas, according to a communiqué issued by Casa de Nariño, the Colombian presidential palace.

According to the Venezuelan news network Globovisión, the Colombian presidential palace was advised by the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs of a change in the venue of the meeting, originally scheduled to be held in Caracas on July 11. 

The Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed that the meeting would include a visit to an important oil refinery in the area.

Agenda unchanged
The Colombian government reiterated that the agenda and purposes of the meeting have been ratified, namely, to confirm good relationships between both countries and signing an agreement to build a train connection between Venezuela and Colombia.
