Two Venezuelan helicopters bearing the logos of the Red Cross
International Committee departed Thursday from the town of
San José del Guaviare (southeast Colombia) to a place
in the Colombian forest where they are to pick two hostages
the rebel Colombian Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC) are
to release, AFP reported.
The helicopters arrived in San José del Guaviare, earlier
on Thursday to refuel and depart for an unknown place in the
forest where former vice-presidential candidate Clara Rojas
and former lawmaker Consuelo González de Perdomo would
be freed.
Oil Scenario
HYDROCARBONS Rafael Ramírez, Venezuela's Minister of Petroleum and Mining and president of state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) specified that oil exports to China would be equal to current shipments of Venezuelan oil to the United States.
