Cardinal Urosa: We are risking the future of Venezuela

Jorge Cardinal Urosa Savino urged the people who had not voted yet to go and cast their ballots and make their "opinion count."

"The point at issue here is not the election of a President, but the future of Venezuela. Therefore, it is very necessary for us to go out and vote and nobody should stay resting at home, watching how things are going on," he said.

The cardinal noted that it was very important for Venezuelans to be the actors of their own history and emphasized that respect and harmony should prevail.

"We need a Venezuela, where there is room for everybody; a Venezuela, where there is no exclusion, where all of us feel like brothers and have the rights enshrined in our Constitution."
