Students at University Alejandro de Humboldt and College Nuevas Profesiones rallied at Rómulo Gallegos Avenue, northeast Caracas, to advocate freedom of expression and rebuff the end of broadcasts of private TV channel RCVT.

Gustavo Graterol, a student at University Alejandro de Humboldt told official TV channel VTV they were demonstrating to exercise their freedom of expression and opinion, adding they are staging a peaceful spontaneous demonstration.

A student at College Nuevas Profesiones said they were advocating freedom of expression and had no political stance.
