Students in central Miranda state are staging a peaceful demonstration at Panamericana Highway and other sectors of San Antonio de los Altos and Los Teques, in the outskirts of Caracas to reject non renewal of the broadcast license for private television station RCTV and advocate freedom of expression in Venezuela.
 
Students blocked Panamericana Highway, and also gathered at La Rosaleda and San Antonio.

Early on Tuesday, a student demonstration in front of their campus in Los Teques was broken up by police officers throwing tear gas canisters and shooting plastic bullets.
