Julio de Vido, the Argentinean Minister of Planning, is to
land in Venezuela next Wednesday in connection with an agreement
to fund the Argentinean dairy cooperative San Cor, official
sources reported Tuesday, as quoted by Efe.
The senior official is to arrive in Caracas along with the
governor of the Argentinean province of Santa Fe Jorge Obeid.
Then, they will work on the details to implement the technical
and financial aid promised by the Venezuelan Government to
San Cor, the second largest dairy producer in Argentina.
"We will help to enforce the agreement as soon as possible,
and as fully and to all intents and purposes," Obeid said
in a press release.
Under the aid agreement executed last December 11th in Caracas,
San Cor is to get a USD 80-million grant from the Venezuelan
National Bank for Economic and Social Development. About 20,000
tons annually of powdered milk and technology transfer will
be received for valuable consideration.
