Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva Thursday
offered help to his Peruvian counterpart Alan García,
so he can reopen dialogue with Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez
in an effort to mend impaired relations between Peru and Venezuela,
reported Reuters.
Lula made the offer at the end of a meeting with García

The source added that Brazil realizes that reopening a dialogue
between both presidents is a difficult task and would take
some time, since the confrontation between García and
Chávez included personal insults.
Chávez and García railed at each other during Peru's
electoral campaign, with Chávez backing openly defeated
candidate Ollanta Humala.
