Citgo Petroleum, a subsidiary of state-run oil holding Petróleos
de Venezuela (Pdvsa) based in the United States, reported
that on Tuesday morning there was a minor fire in its refinery
at Corpus Christi, Texas. The fire was extinguished at once.
The refinery has the capacity to process 165,000 bpd, Reuters
reported.
"There were no injuries," spokesman David McCollum said.
As stated by operators, the reformer of 30,000 bpd came to
a standstill and was to restart operations soon. A cut in
the output of the hydrogenation unit reduced the supply both
for the hydro-treater and the diesel plant.
