Venezuela's incorporation into the United Nations (UN) Security
Council "will be hardly blocked," Cuban ruler Fidel Castro
admonished. His Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chávez, he
said, has become a "world leader."
"Chávez has created an indestructible model. He is the
forerunner, not of extreme, but realistic socialism," Argentinean
daily Página/12 published Thursday, Efe reported.
The Cuban ruler noted that he was getting better from the
disease that made him transfer the government to his brother
Raúl. However, "it cannot be forgotten that the machine
under repair is 80 years old," he conceded.
"As you can see, I can speak loud and clear, if I want,"
he told Argentinean journalist and congressman Miguel Bonasso,
during an appointment in the context of the Non-Aligned Movement
(NAM) summit held in Havana until next Saturday.
In his opinion, Chávez "will irrefutably succeed in
creating a great party able to gather and represent all the
Venezuelan revolutionaries."
