The Sixth Control Court headed by Justice Florencio Silano
has cancelled a precautionary measure that prevented the media
from disclosing the private life of key witness Giovanni Vásquez.
Vásquez testified in the case of environmental public prosecutor Danilo Anderson, murdered in 2004.
Official TV channel Venezolana de Televisión reported on the ruling. Last January 2006, the Attorney General Office filed a petition to prohibit any statement concerning the witness' activities.
Reserved records and personal protection are still effective, but any details on the witness private life can be aired on the media.
