As part of his fourth working visit in his global tour, Venezuelan
President Hugo Chávez arrived Wednesday in the air base
of Vnukovo, located in Moscow, the capital city of Russia.
Russian Vice-Minister for Northern Latin America Affairs
Kislyak Serguei Ivanovich, Foreign Ministry director of protocol
Mikhail Orlovest, and Venezuelan ambassador Alexis Navarro
welcomed the ruler.
The head of state and his suite went to President Hotel,
where he will lodge during his stay in the Russian city, official
Agencia Bolivariana de Noticias (ABN) reported.
President Chávez is to start Thursday his work agenda
very early in the morning with a visit to the Library of Foreign
Languages. There, he will uncover a bust of Liberator Simón
Bolívar.
Afterwards, he will head for the Kremlin, the government
venue, to meet in private with Russian President Vladimir
Putin. Delegations of both countries are expected to hold
a parallel meeting.
Both presidents will make a joint press conference for national
reporters and foreign correspondents accredited in Russia.
Oil Scenario
HYDROCARBONS Rafael Ramírez, Venezuela's Minister of Petroleum and Mining and president of state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) specified that oil exports to China would be equal to current shipments of Venezuelan oil to the United States.
