Colombian Foreign Affairs minister Carolina Barco Thursday
said in Caracas that in the next few days a Venezuelan delegation
is to visit Colombia to agree on the five rules that are to
govern bilateral trade during a five-year grace period granted
following Venezuela withdrawal from the Andean Community of
Nations (CAN).
"Regarding trade issues, we decided that a Venezuelan delegation
will go to Colombia to find ways to move on, provided that
Venezuela complies with the terms set in the Cartagena Agreement,
under which both duties and favorable terms continue into
effect for a five-year period."
She added that there is a legal framework Colombia and Venezuela
plan to adjust to during the upcoming visit of the Venezuelan
Commerce Ministry representatives to Colombia.
