Present relations between Venezuela and Cuba show that there
are integration models different from the models implemented
so far in Latin America, Foreign Vice-Minister Pável
Rondón stated.
"We are showing that the world can work otherwise. We are
breaking up all the economic and socio-political theories
sought in the hemisphere. We are creating a new world," Rondón
maintained during a ceremony to organize the Venezuelan-Cuban
Parliamentarian Friendship Group.
The group was organized last Monday at the National Assembly
(AN,) Efe reported.
"We are developing an integration model where the economic,
cultural, social, political, educational, health, and energy
fields come together, and through the Bolivarian Alternative
of the Americas (ALBA,) we are showing that a new world is
possible," Rondón added.
Cuban Ambassador Germán Sánchez remembered that
since the execution of the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement
on October 30th, 2000, bilateral trade exchange has surpassed
USD 830 million.
