Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, president of Iranian Parliament,
Tuesday on behalf of his country thanked Venezuelan support
for Iranian nuclear stance.
Venezuela voted against sending Iran nuclear dossier to the
United Nations Security Council for alleged violations against
the controls imposed by the International Atomic Energy Agency
(IAEA.)
"I think it is necessary to thank the Venezuelan government's
favorable stance and support for the Iranian government, especially
their favorable vote at the board of governors of the International
Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna," to reject sending Iran nuclear
dossier to UN, said Haddad Adel, following a meeting with
the Venezuelan National Assembly chair Nicolás Maduro.
Haddad Adel claimed that Washington is not concerned about
the fact that Iran "has achieved atomic energy." "They are
worried because we want to be independent."
"Washington does not oppose to a country like Israel that
has nuclear weapons, rather they support it," he added.
He claimed Iran is to expose its views in the media, "to
let the world know our ideas about the peaceful use of nuclear
energy."
The president of Iranian Parliament stressed that Venezuela
and Iran "share common causes, being their top priority cause
their current fights for liberation."
He offered Iran support for Venezuelan stances in the field
of foreign affairs. "We have ample bilateral relations. One
of the motivations of my visit to Venezuela is to convey the
support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the stances of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela."
Maduro asserted that Iran-Venezuela "great alliance" has
come at a time when imperialism is in decay all around the
world.
