Venezuela sent two million barrels of oil to India, in the
first oil shipment to that country, state-run oil corporation
Petróleos de Venezuela SA (Pdvsa) said, as reported by
AFP.
Pdvsa "sent a first shipment of two million barrels of oil
to India, as part of its market diversification policy under
Pdvsa business plan for 2006-2012," the holding said in a
press release.
The shipment was sent in VLCC "Venus Glory" from storage
and shipping terminal Jose, in eastern Anzoátegui state,
to Sikka port, in India, the communiqué added.
The shipment comprises 1.1 million barrels of Merey crude
oil (API 16) and 900,000 barrels of Mesa oil (API 30), Pdvsa
explained.
