A trial against the president of the Venezuelan Workers'
Confederation (CTV) Carlos Ortega was adjourned until Tuesday
after defense lawyer Carlos Roa Roa failed to appear in court.
Milagros Morales, judge of the 9th Trial Court of Caracas,
allegedly warned Ortega that she would not tolerate any more
delays from the defense.
Roa Roa explained that he was sent a notice with inconsistencies
regarding the date the trial would be resumed.
He added that inconsistencies have been common during Ortega's
trial, and insisted that there is connivance between the case
judge and public prosecutors.
