"You will have the task, at the new National Assembly, to conduct the first comprehensive revision of the National Constitution," said late on Tuesday President Hugo Chávez when swearing in his candidates to parliamentarian elections to be held on December 4.

"This new National Assembly should be a powerful tool to speed up our process; to improve our efficiency and help us defeat the enemies within the revolution: bureaucracy and corruption," he added.

Chávez thanked 23 deputies who were not nominated for re-election for their understanding, and announced that they are going to occupy other offices.
