Anzoátegui to be the venue of Petrocaribe

The First Energy Meeting of Caribbean Heads of State and Government is to be held next Thursday in the city of Puerto La Cruz, eastern Anzoátegui state. During the event, the establishment of Petrocaribe will be cemented.
"Venezuela has the Caribbean in its heart, hence this meeting. Some major geopolitical projects proposed by the Venezuelan government will be shaped," Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez said last Sunday in his TV and radio show "Hello, President!"
Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada, Saint Vicent and The Granadines, Saint Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Guadalupe, Antigua & Barbuda, Virgin Islands, Barbados, Surinam, Belize, Cayman Islands, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic will attend the event.
"Here is Puerto Rico, said President Chávez pointing to the map. Well, it will not be invited. Unfortunately, Puerto Rico is still a US territory. Therefore, we could not invite it."

The president confirmed that Cuban VP Carlos Lage will represent ruler Fidel Castro. Also, he sent "an envoy to Haiti, as it is part of the Caribbean."
