Henrique Salas Feo, current governor of Carabobo State, Monday
ratified his victory in Sunday election, and ensured that
he has surpassed pro-government candidate Luis Felipe Acosta
Carles by 26 percent, even though the National Electoral Council
(CNE) disclosed preliminary results showing that Acosta Carles
was the winner.
According to Salas Feo, for the time the CNE disclosed the
results only 71 of the automated tally sheets had been computed.
"This candidate (Acosta Carles) has not even obtained 40
percent of the ballots."
